Super Mario World - Oryoshi Island Mystery Game

Okay, so Super Mario World - Oryoshi Island Mystery is one of those fan-made ROM hacks that actually feels like it could’ve been a legit SNES sequel. It’s got that classic Mario World vibe—colorful, tight controls, the usual power-ups—but with new levels that throw some legit curveballs at you.
Right off the bat, you’ll notice the overworld’s been completely redone, and the level design’s got this weird mix of tricky platforming and secrets that make you stop and think. Some of the hidden exits are brutal, but in a good way—like, "Oh, you thought you knew Mario World?" kind of brutal. The music’s remixed too, which is a nice touch.
If you’ve played the original to death, this one’s worth a spin just to see how creative some of the new stages get. Just don’t expect it to go easy on you.
