Super Mario Omega Game

Super Mario Omega is one of those fan-made SNES romhacks that somehow feels like it could've been an official release. It's basically a remix of Super Mario World—same controls, same art style, but with completely new levels that get surprisingly creative. The first few stages trick you into thinking it's just a nostalgia trip, then suddenly you're dodging fireballs while riding Yoshi over disappearing platforms. Classic Mario chaos.
What I like is how it doesn't just ramp up the difficulty blindly—some sections actually feel easier than the original game, but then it'll throw a curveball with enemy placements or hidden exits that make you rethink how you approach the levels. And yeah, the cape feather is still hilariously overpowered if you know how to use it.
If you've played Super Mario World to death and want something fresh without losing that SNES charm, this is a solid pick. Just don't blame me when you get stuck on that one autoscroll airship level.
