Super Mario Kart - The Impala Battles Game

Okay, so this is one of those weird Mario Kart ROM hacks—basically someone took the original SNES version and went wild with it. You've got Impalas (yeah, the cars) as karts now, and the tracks are remixed to feel way faster and more chaotic than the vanilla game. It's janky in that classic fan-made way, but if you grew up sliding around Rainbow Road, there's something weirdly fun about seeing how far the physics can bend before everything falls apart.
First race in, you'll notice the handling's a little off—like your kart's on ice half the time—but once you get used to it, the sheer speed makes up for the slippery controls. Also, the CPU racers cheat even harder than usual, so prepare for some rage-quit moments. Not gonna lie, it's more of a novelty than a replacement for the original, but if you've played Mario Kart SNES to death, this at least keeps it unpredictable.
Just don't expect Nintendo-level polish, and you'll have a blast.
