Super Mario Flash 3.0 is basically someone’s love letter to classic Mario—but with its own twist. You’ve got Mario and Luigi running through familiar-but-not-quite-the-same levels, stomping Goombas and grabbing mushrooms like usual, except the layouts are all fresh. Some stuff’s borrowed from other Mario games too, like the SMB3 world map, which is a nice touch.

What’s cool is the level editor. You can slap down blocks, drop in enemies, and even tweak power-ups to make your own nightmare (or masterpiece, if you’re feeling creative). The codes it spits out for sharing levels are kinda janky, but hey, it works. Just make sure your Flash player isn’t ancient, or you’ll be staring at a broken screen instead of Bowser’s smug face.

It’s not perfect, but if you’ve ever wanted to mess around with Mario-style levels without Nintendo breathing down your neck, this is a decent way to do it.
