Super Mario Brothers - The Lost Levels Deluxe Game

Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels Deluxe is basically the SNES version of that brutal Mario sequel Japan got back in the day—the one they thought was too hard for Western players. It's got all the original levels, but with smoother 16-bit graphics and that classic SNES controller feel.
You start off thinking, "Hey, this looks familiar," until you hit the first invisible block over a pit or get wrecked by wind physics you didn’t even know existed. The poison mushrooms, the warp pipes that send you backward—Nintendo wasn’t messing around. It’s still Mario, but it feels like the devs were laughing maniacally while designing some of these jumps.
If you’ve beaten the original NES version, the Deluxe tweaks make it worth another go. Just don’t throw your controller.
