Super Mario Blooper World Game

Super Mario Blooper World is one of those weird, unofficial Mario hacks for SNES that somehow feels both familiar and totally off the rails. You're still jumping on Goombas and grabbing coins, but suddenly you're swimming through ink-filled levels with giant squids everywhere—like someone took the water levels from Mario and cranked up the chaos.
The controls are classic Mario, but the physics feel just slightly off, like your jumps are a little floatier than they should be. And don't even get me started on the Blooper enemies—they're faster and more aggressive here, so you'll actually have to dodge them instead of just breezing past. It's janky in that charming ROM-hack way where you can tell it wasn't made by Nintendo, but that's part of the fun.
If you've played every official Mario game to death and want something that feels new (but still has that 16-bit nostalgia), this is worth a look. Just don't expect polished level design—half the challenge is figuring out what the heck the creator was thinking.
