Street Fighter Zero 3 Upper on GBA is basically the best way to take the arcade brawler with you—no quarters needed. You’ve got all the classic fighters like Ryu, Chun-Li, and even some deep cuts like Karin, each with their own ridiculous special moves. The controls are tight for a handheld, though pulling off a dragon punch on that tiny D-pad takes some practice.
What’s cool is the "Upper" part—it adds extra modes and tweaks from the arcade version, like Dramatic Battle where you team up against overpowered bosses. The AI isn’t messing around either; even on normal, you’ll eat a Hadouken to the face if you get sloppy. It’s the kind of game where losing just makes you mash start faster for a rematch.
If you’ve got a buddy with a GBA and a link cable, that’s where it really shines. Nothing like trash-talking over a pixelated Shoryuken. Just don’t blame me when your thumbs are sore.
