About Street Fighter Alpha 3 (e)(quartex)
Street Fighter Alpha 3 for the Game Boy Advance was a late release for the system, arriving after many other portable fighters. Capcom handled the development and publishing, bringing a version of their arcade fighter to a handheld that was already well established.
You control one of many fighters, like Ryu or Chun-Li, and face opponents in one-on-one battles across various stages. The main goal is to defeat all challengers in the arcade mode to see your character's story conclusion. The game includes three distinct fighting styles, or "isms," which change your super meter and available techniques; you can also perform custom combos and air blocking. Matches are fast and demand quick reactions, with the difficulty ramping up noticeably in later fights. It feels responsive and surprisingly complete for a handheld adaptation.
