Street Fighter Alpha on Game Boy Color is a surprisingly solid port of the arcade classic. You’ve got all the usual suspects—Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li—but with that slick Alpha art style, even if the GBC’s colors make everything a little more… neon. The controls are tight for a handheld fighter, though pulling off supers takes some practice with the tiny buttons.
It’s got that classic Street Fighter feel—fireballs, dragon punches, the whole thing—just shrunk down. The roster’s smaller than the arcade version, but hey, it’s impressive they got this running on a Game Boy at all. If you’re stuck on a long trip and need a quick fighting fix, it holds up better than you’d expect.
