New Retro Mario Bros Game

Ever wish someone made a new Mario game that felt straight out of the SNES era? That’s basically what New Retro Mario Bros is—a fan-made love letter to the old-school platformers. You’ve got the classic running and jumping, but with some fresh levels and a few sneaky twists that’ll catch you off guard if you’re expecting the same old Mushroom Kingdom.
The controls are butter-smooth, just like the originals, and the sprite work nails that nostalgic 16-bit look. Some of the level designs get surprisingly creative, too—like one section where you’re dodging falling icicles while riding a moving platform. Took me a couple tries to nail that one.
If you grew up with Super Mario World or just dig tight platformers, this one’s a blast. It’s like finding a lost SNES cart in your attic.
