Mario World X Game

Mario World X is one of those SNES romhacks that actually feels like a proper sequel to Super Mario World—not just some janky fan edit. The level design’s tight, the new power-ups actually make sense (ever wanted Yoshi to breathe fire? Now he can), and there’s this weirdly satisfying mix of classic Mario physics with just enough new tricks to keep you on your toes.
First thing you’ll notice? The overworld’s way bigger, with hidden exits that actually matter. I got stuck for like 20 minutes on this one ghost house because the exit wasn’t where I expected—turns out you gotta bounce off a hidden block behind a fake wall. Classic Mario troll logic, but it works.
If you’ve burned through the original too many times, this one’s got that same feel but with fresh levels that don’t just rehash the old ideas. Also, the music slaps—some remixed tracks, some entirely new, all very SNES-era catchy.
