Kyouji's Mario World Game

Kyouji's Mario World is one of those SNES romhacks that feels like stumbling into a secret level pack the devs never released. It's got that classic Super Mario World vibe—same controls, same art style—but the levels are remixed just enough to keep you on your toes. First thing you'll notice? The difficulty spikes fast. One minute you're bouncing off goombas like usual, the next you're threading through spike traps that feel borderline cruel.
Some of the platforming sections are brutal in that old-school way where you'll die a dozen times before nailing the timing. But when you finally clear a tough stage, it's weirdly satisfying. The overworld map's been tweaked too, with alternate paths that actually make you stop and think before picking a route. If you've played vanilla SMW to death, this gives it some fresh teeth.
Just don't go in expecting a casual replay—this one's for when you really want to test those pixel-perfect jumps.
