About Colors (super Mario World Hack)
Colors is a Super Nintendo Entertainment System ROM hack created by a developer known as Yoshimitsu96, released in 2017. It is a modification of the original Super Mario World, built entirely within the constraints of the SNES hardware. This places it among the many fan made projects that emerged long after the console's commercial lifespan, offering new levels and challenges using familiar Mario assets.
You control Mario through a series of platforming levels, with the main goal being to reach the end of each stage and ultimately defeat Bowser. The hack introduces several new mechanics, including a color switching system that alters the properties of certain blocks and enemies, and a number of custom power ups not found in the original game. The pacing is generally fast, demanding quick reflexes and precise jumps, and the difficulty is considered high, aimed at experienced players. Navigating the vibrant, challenging stages provides a demanding but satisfying test of your platforming skills.
