Bomberman Tournament is one of those GBA gems that takes the classic formula and runs wild with it. Yeah, you're still planting bombs and dodging explosions, but this time there's a full-blown adventure mode where you're searching for Max on some weird alien planet. The overworld feels like a mini Zelda game—you explore, solve puzzles, and yeah, blow up everything in sight.
What surprised me was the RPG stuff they threw in. You collect these little creatures called Karabon that fight alongside you, and figuring out which ones work best against certain enemies is half the fun. The battle system's simple but weirdly addictive—just don't get too attached to your first few Karabon. They, uh... don't always make it.
Still has the classic multiplayer chaos too, if you've got friends and a link cable. Four players, one screen, and way too many explosions—some things never change.
