Bomberman Max 2 Blue is one of those classic GBA games that just nails the chaotic fun of the series. You start off in this grid-based arena, dropping bombs to blast through walls and take out enemies—simple at first, but it gets wild fast. The Blue version has its own set of stages and power-ups, so if you played the Red one, this still feels fresh.
What I love is how the screen fills with explosions once you grab a few power-ups—suddenly you're laying down bombs like a maniac, trying not to corner yourself. The AI isn’t pushover either; some of those later levels had me sweating. And yeah, you can totally play this on an emulator now, but it still feels best with a proper D-pad.
If you ever wasted hours blowing up friends in multiplayer back in the day, this one’s a solid trip down memory lane.
