Bomberman Jetters on GBA is basically a love letter to fans of the anime—you get a weird little mix of modes that somehow works. The pinball game’s got that classic Bomberman charm with bumpers shaped like bombs, and the minigames feel like a stripped-down Bomberman Land (some are hit or miss, but the racing ones are weirdly addictive).

Of course, the real reason to play is the Battle Mode. It’s classic Bomberman chaos—drop bombs, trap your friends, watch everything explode. The sprites are tiny but surprisingly detailed, and the AI’s actually not terrible if you’re stuck playing solo. Just don’t expect it to replace the console versions.

It’s one of those GBA titles that’s better than it has any right to be.
