About Zool (europe)
Zool for the Game Boy came out in 1993 from Gremlin Graphics, a time when the handheld was full of platformers trying to capture that arcade feel. It was a port of the Amiga original, bringing its particular brand of speed and color to a smaller screen.
You control Zool, a ninja from another dimension, running and jumping through levels divided into distinct screens. Your main goal is to reach the end of each stage, fighting off enemies with a short-range attack or by throwing projectiles. The game is known for its fast pace and demanding platforming, requiring quick reflexes to navigate the environmental hazards. Collecting sweets from Chupa Chups acts as a primary method for regaining health, a noticeable bit of product placement integrated into the gameplay.
