Okay, so Zen: Intergalactic Ninja on Game Boy is one of those weirdly cool platformers that somehow makes a cyber-ninja in space feel totally natural. You start off slashing through these alien goons with this slick little sword combo, and the controls actually feel pretty tight for a Game Boy title—no clunky jumps or awkward hitboxes here.

The first level throws you right into it: neon platforms, floating robots, and these weird worm things that pop out of the ground. Zen’s got this dash move that’s way more satisfying than it should be, especially when you chain it between enemies. And yeah, the story’s basically "space warlord bad, ninja good," but the pixel art gives it this grungy comic book vibe that works.

It’s not super hard early on, but some of the later stages get sneaky with bottomless pits and enemies that just love to knock you into them. Still, if you’re into retro action with a side of cheesy sci-fi, this one’s a solid time killer. Just don’t expect deep lore—Zen’s here to slash, not monologue.
