The sprites are tiny but surprisingly detailed for a Game Boy game, and the combat’s this weird mix of turn-based and real-time where you’ve gotta time your button presses right to land hits.

It’s not just mindless fighting, though. There’s some light puzzle-solving between battles, like figuring out which path leads to the next boss or how to trigger hidden events.
