Yuke Yuke!! Trouble Makers came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1997, developed by Treasure. It was part of that wave of early 3D platformers on the system, a time when developers were still figuring out how to translate classic 2D action into a three-dimensional space. This game was their particular take on that challenge.
You control two characters, a boy and a girl, and you can switch between them on the fly to solve puzzles and fight enemies. The main goal is to explore a large, interconnected tower screen by screen, clearing each room of monsters to proceed. Your main tools are a sword for direct combat and a bow for hitting distant switches or enemies. The game is known for its brisk pace and considerable difficulty; you need to manage both characters effectively, as some puzzles require their specific abilities.
