Yuke Yuke!! Trouble Makers is one of those weird, charming N64 platformers that never made it outside Japan—which is a shame, because it’s got this chaotic energy I love. You play as Marina, a pink-haired android who fights by grabbing enemies and hurling them around like ragdolls. The controls take a second to click (why does throwing feel so oddly satisfying?), but once they do, you’ll be flinging bad guys into each other, using them as projectiles, or just yeeting them off cliffs for fun.
The levels are packed with little interactive details—breakable walls, moving platforms, even NPCs who react when you accidentally chuck a crate at them. It’s got that early 3D jank, sure, but the art style’s bright and playful, with these exaggerated animations that make everything feel like a cartoon. And yeah, the story’s mostly in Japanese, but you don’t need to understand it to enjoy bouncing goofy-looking enemies around like pinballs.
If you’re into obscure N64 gems or just want a platformer that doesn’t take itself seriously, this one’s a blast. Just don’t blame me when you start laughing at how ridiculous the physics get.
