I first played Ys III: Wanderers From Ys on the Nintendo Entertainment System back in 1989. Exploring dungeons is a core activity, where you hunt for keys and new equipment to grow stronger. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty can be sharp, especially during some of the more demanding boss fights.
