Xenophobe on NES is one of those weird, frantic co-op shooters where you're blasting aliens across a space station before they turn you into a puddle of goo. You and a buddy (if you're lucky enough to have one) run through corridors, sealing airlocks and wasting these creepy, fast-moving xenomorph wannabes. The controls take a second to get used to—jumping feels a little floaty, and sometimes you'll accidentally chuck a grenade when you meant to punch—but once it clicks, the chaos is kinda satisfying.
Honestly, it's janky in that classic NES way, but there's something about the way the aliens swarm you that makes it tense even now. Just don't expect deep strategy—this is pure '80s arcade-style "shoot everything before it eats your face."
