World Soccer (japan) Game

World Soccer GB (or ISS as it was known in Japan) is one of those early Game Boy sports games that somehow makes blocky little sprites feel like a proper match. The field's got this tilted isometric view—kinda weird at first, but you get used to it fast. Passing feels surprisingly crisp for a Game Boy cart, and there's just enough tactical depth to keep you tweaking formations between matches.
Don't expect fancy animations or real player names, but the core gameplay holds up. That satisfying *click* when you nail a long through pass? Still hits right. It's basically the proto-version of what became the ISS/PES series, so you can see the roots of later soccer sims in here.
