World Heroes 2 Jet on Game Boy is one of those old-school fighters that somehow feels both clunky and satisfying at the same time. You’ve got a weirdly fun roster—like, who thought a ninja, a cowboy, and Rasputin would make sense in the same tournament? But it works.

The controls take a minute to get used to (good luck nailing those special moves on the tiny D-pad), but once you do, there’s something oddly addictive about chaining together combos with characters like Hanzo or Muscle Power. The CPU doesn’t mess around either—expect some cheap hits if you’re not careful.

Multiplayer’s where it really shines, though. Nothing like trash-talking your friend after landing a last-second super move. Just don’t expect Street Fighter-level depth. It’s rough around the edges, but that’s part of the charm.
