About World Heroes 2 Jet
World Heroes 2 Jet came out for the Game Boy in 1994, developed by ADK. It was part of that wave of fighting games trying to fit arcade style onto a handheld. On the small screen, it had to stand out among other portable brawlers of the time.
You pick a fighter from a cast of historical and fictional characters, then face off one on one in best of three rounds. The main goal is to deplete your opponent's life bar before they deplete yours. Signature mechanics include a super move system where you build meter for a powerful attack, and some characters have unique projectiles or grappling throws. The pacing is quick, matches are short, and the difficulty can spike sharply against the computer. It feels like a condensed, sometimes uneven, version of its arcade cousin.
