About World Boxing (japan)
World Boxing was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in Japan, developed by Pixel and published by Toei Animation. It came out during a time when the NES library was filled with various sports titles, and this one offered a take on the boxing genre.
You control a boxer from a side view, moving left and right to dodge and throw punches. The main goal is to knock out your opponent before your own health is depleted. Signature mechanics include a stamina meter that depletes with each punch you throw, forcing you to manage your attacks carefully, and a block button you must time precisely to avoid damage.
