World Bowling on Game Boy is way more fun than it has any right to be. You get this simple top-down view of the lane, and at first it feels a little stiff—until you realize how satisfying it is to nail that perfect curve shot. The physics are surprisingly decent for an old handheld game.
There’s a weird charm to the way the pins clatter when you hit them just right. I kept thinking "one more round" to beat my high score, and suddenly an hour had passed. The AI opponents aren’t geniuses, but they’re good enough to keep you from feeling like you’re bowling alone.
Best part? No sticky rental shoes. Just grab your Game Boy and go.
