About Wordzap
WordZap was a Game Boy title released in 1990, developed by Beam Software and published by Accolade. It arrived during a period when the handheld was flooded with puzzle games, offering a different kind of word-based challenge compared to the falling block puzzles that dominated the scene.
You control a cursor to select letters from a grid, forming words to clear them from the board. The main objective is to clear each screen of letters before a timer runs out or new letters fill the grid completely.
