Wonder Project J2 is one of those weird, charming N64 games that never made it outside Japan—which is a shame, because it’s got this weirdly cozy vibe. You play as this tiny robot named Jozet, basically raising it like a kid in the middle of a fairy-tale forest. At first, you’re just teaching it basic stuff—how to walk, pick things up, not to freak out when it rains—but then things get deeper. The AI actually feels like it’s learning, not just following scripts.
It’s part adventure, part life sim, with these little moments where Jozet will surprise you by remembering stuff you taught it hours ago. The art’s got this soft watercolor look, and the whole thing feels like a Ghibli movie crossed with a Tamagotchi. Definitely not your typical N64 game, but that’s why it sticks with you.
