Wizardry II picks up right where the first game left off—you thought beating Werdna was tough? Now some new nightmare’s stirring up trouble, and of course, it’s up to your party to crawl through another brutal dungeon. This time, you’re after the Knight of Diamonds’ armor, which sounds fancy until you realize it’s buried under layers of traps, monsters, and the usual Wizardry-style suffering.
If you played the first one, you know the drill: same grid-based movement, same turn-based fights, same "save constantly or regret everything" energy. The dungeon’s a fresh hell, though—new layouts, deadlier encounters, and that satisfying slow burn of leveling up your crew. Just don’t get too attached to anyone; permadeath’s still lurking around every corner.
It’s classic dungeon-crawling at its most punishing—and weirdly rewarding when you finally crack a tough floor. You’ll need patience, graph paper, and maybe a stiff drink.
