About Wild Choppers (j)
Wild Choppers came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1997 from Bottom Up. It was one of those 3D platformers that tried to find its own space alongside the bigger names on the system. The graphics had a certain blocky charm, and it didn't get the same attention as some other releases that year.
You control a character with a helicopter backpack, navigating through multi-tiered levels. The main goal is to collect a set of rotor parts scattered across each stage. Your primary mechanics are hovering to reach high platforms and using a spin attack to defeat enemies or interact with objects. The level design encourages vertical exploration, often requiring you to scout from the air to find the correct path.
