Wetrix is one of those weird N64 puzzle games that somehow makes stacking blocks and managing water feel intense. You start with this flat grid, and suddenly it's raining—now you're frantically building walls and digging trenches to keep the water from spilling over. Mess up, and your little landscape floods. The earthquakes are the worst though—just when you think you've got things under control, the whole thing shakes and ruins your perfect dam system.
It's way more strategic than it looks at first. At some point, you realize you can actually evaporate water by raising certain blocks, which changes everything. The music's oddly chill for how stressful it gets, too. If you like Tetris but wish it had more physics and occasional natural disasters, this is your game.
Still holds up as one of the more creative puzzle games from that era.
