Wave Race 64 is one of those N64 games that still holds up—mostly because the water physics are just ridiculously fun to mess with. You hop on a Kawasaki jet ski, and right away, you’re cutting through waves that actually push you around, making tight turns way harder (and way more satisfying) than they should be.
The courses start simple—sunny beaches, calm water—but before long, you’re dodging buoys in stormy seas or weaving between icebergs. The multiplayer’s a blast too, especially when someone wipes out because they misjudged a wave. It’s got that classic N64 charm where everything feels a little exaggerated but still weirdly realistic.
If you’ve ever wanted to feel like you’re actually fighting against the water instead of just gliding over it, this is the game for you.
