Okay, so Wacky Races on NES is weird—it’s not actually a racing game like the cartoon. Instead, you’re Muttley in this janky side-scroller, sprinting (well, more like awkwardly hopping) through levels to rescue Dick Dastardly. The controls feel a little stiff, and some of the jumps are just unfair, but there’s something charming about the weirdly detailed sprites and that classic NES soundtrack. You’ll probably die a lot to random pits and enemies you didn’t see coming, but hey, at least Muttley’s laugh is still hilarious. It’s one of those "so bad it’s kinda fun" retro games.
