WWF Wrestlemania Steel Cage Challenge is one of those old-school wrestling games that feels clunky now but had its charm back in the day. You pick from classic WWF wrestlers like Hulk Hogan or The Undertaker, and yeah, the cage match gimmick is the main draw—though honestly, the cage just kinda slows things down. The sprites are blocky, the moves are stiff, and good luck pulling off a finisher without button-mashing like crazy.
Still, there’s something weirdly satisfying about slamming someone into the ropes or climbing the cage (even if the animation looks like your wrestler’s glitching out). It’s not the best wrestling game on the NES, but if you’re nostalgic for early ‘90s WWF chaos, it’s a fun little time capsule. Just don’t expect it to hold up like Tecmo Super Bowl.
