Man, WWF WrestleMania 2000 on N64 was my jam back in the day. You start off picking from a stacked roster—Stone Cold, The Rock, Mankind, all the late '90s legends—and the character models actually look like them, which was rare for wrestling games at the time. The grappling feels a little stiff now, but back then, landing a Stone Cold Stunner or a Rock Bottom felt huge.
What really made it stand out was the create-a-wrestler mode. You could tweak everything from their entrance music to their finisher, and I spent way too many hours making ridiculous custom fighters. The career mode’s where it’s at, though—you work your way up from small-time matches to WrestleMania, and the commentary (while cheesy) adds to the vibe. Just don’t expect a technical masterpiece by today’s standards—it’s pure nostalgia with some janky fun.
Still holds up if you’re into that era of wrestling or just want to mess around with friends in multiplayer.
