WWF War Zone on N64 is that classic late-90s wrestling chaos we all secretly miss. You pick from a roster of absolute units like Stone Cold and The Rock—each with their own ridiculous finishers—and just start throwing people into turnbuckles. The controls take a minute to get used to (good luck figuring out grapple combos at first), but once you do, it’s pure mayhem.
What really makes it fun is the multiplayer. Grab a friend, pick your favorite wrestler, and watch as someone inevitably gets suplexed off the top rope. The character creator’s janky by today’s standards, but back then? Spending an hour making a neon-green-haired monstrosity was half the appeal. Just don’t expect smooth animations—this is pure nostalgia, warts and all.
Still holds up if you’re into that old-school, arcadey wrestling vibe.
