I remember playing WWF King of the Ring on my Game Boy in 1993. It was developed by Eastridge Technology and published by LJN, a familiar name for wrestling games back then. On a system filled with puzzle games and platformers, this was one of the few portable options if you wanted a wrestling fix. It wasn't the most complex title, but it was there when you needed it.
You control a single wrestler, moving from match to match in a tournament bracket. Your main goal is to win every fight and claim the King of the Ring crown. The gameplay is straightforward; you punch, kick, and grapple with your opponent to build up a special meter. Once it's full, you can execute a powerful finishing move to secure a pin.
