WCW Mayhem on the N64 is one of those wrestling games that feels rough around the edges but weirdly charming. You’ve got Goldberg, Sting, and the rest of the WCW roster—though some of the character models look like they’ve been through a few too many steel cage matches. The grappling takes a second to get used to, but once you figure out the timing, you can pull off some satisfying slams and suplexes.
The crowd actually reacts when you land a big move, which is a nice touch, and the commentary tries its best (even if it gets repetitive fast). It’s not as polished as something like No Mercy, but if you’re into late ‘90s wrestling nostalgia, it’s got that chaotic, over-the-top energy that makes it fun for a couch multiplayer session. Just don’t expect a technical masterpiece.
