WCW Main Event came out for the Game Boy in 1991, developed by Funky Developments. You control a professional wrestler, moving from screen to screen in a side view arena. Your main goal is to win matches by pinning your opponent for a three count or making them submit. You also build a special meter for finishing moves, and you can climb the turnbuckle for high risk attacks. The pacing is deliberate, almost slow, and the difficulty can feel unforgiving if you miss a grapple. Playing it feels like a rough, tactical tug of war where every move counts.
