WCW/NWO Revenge was one of those N64 wrestling games that just felt right—the controls were simple enough to pick up fast, but there was enough depth to keep you slamming people through tables for hours. You’ve got all the big names from the Monday Night Wars era—Sting, Goldberg, Hollywood Hogan—and the faction system actually matters, so if you’re playing as the Wolfpac, don’t expect the nWo guys to play nice.
The grappling system is way smoother than you’d expect for a late ‘90s wrestling game. No awkward button mashing—just hold a direction and hit A, and your guy actually does what you want (most of the time). And the four-player chaos? Absolute madness in the best way. Tag matches turn into pure anarchy when someone inevitably grabs a steel chair.
If you’ve got nostalgia for the Attitude Era or just want to see Kevin Nash chokeslam someone into oblivion, this still holds up surprisingly well.
