Vitamina Oukoku Monogatari (japan) Game

Vitamina Oukoku Monogatari is one of those weird, charming little Game Boy RPGs that never left Japan—which is a shame, because it’s got this quirky, pastel-colored world where you’re basically running a vitamin-themed kingdom. Yeah, you read that right. You recruit little vitamin characters (they look like cute blobs with faces) and send them out to solve problems, fight monsters, and… somehow keep your kingdom healthy? It’s bizarre in the best way.
The combat’s simple but fun—turn-based with a rock-paper-scissors twist where certain vitamins counter others. At first, I just mashed through fights, but then I realized some of the weirder vitamins (looking at you, Vitamin K) actually have sneaky good abilities. The dialogue’s all in Japanese, but if you’ve played enough retro RPGs, you can kinda fumble your way through. Or just enjoy the pixel art and vibes.
Honestly, half the fun is just seeing what ridiculous vitamin pun or design pops up next. It’s not deep, but it’s got heart—and way more personality than most budget RPGs from that era.
