Virtual Pool 64 nails that satisfying clack of balls and the slow roll of a perfectly weighted shot—it’s one of those N64 games that actually holds up. The physics feel surprisingly real, especially when you’re lining up a tricky bank shot or trying to avoid scratching on the 8-ball. At first, I thought the controls might be clunky, but after a few rounds, flicking the stick for power and adjusting spin starts to feel natural.
There’s a decent mix of modes, from straight-up 9-ball to trick shots that’ll make you groan when you miss by a pixel. The tables look a little dated now, but the gameplay’s solid enough that you stop noticing. If you’ve ever lost an afternoon to real pool, this one’s got the same vibe—just without the bar smell.
