You pick a driver (each with their own ride and backstory), then wreck everyone else in chaotic arena battles. The maps are surprisingly varied—one minute you're dodging oil tanker explosions in a junkyard, the next you're skidding around a ski resort while avalanches bury half the track.

What I love is how the weapons feel weighty—hitting a homing missile just right sends cars flipping end over end, and the machine guns actually chew up the terrain. The single-player campaign's got this goofy conspiracy plot, but the real fun is couch multiplayer.
