Urban Strike on GB is one of those classic Game Boy ports that somehow makes flying a tiny helicopter through city streets feel intense. You start off with just a basic chopper and a mission—usually something like "blow up everything that moves"—and suddenly you're weaving between skyscrapers while dodging enemy fire. The controls take a second to get used to, but once you do, it’s weirdly satisfying to unload missiles on tanks and watch them explode in that chunky pixel style.
It’s not just mindless shooting, either. You’ve got fuel to manage, hostages to rescue (if you feel like it), and enemies that get smarter as you go. The missions get brutal fast, especially when you realize your helicopter handles like a brick if you take too much damage. Still, there’s something about the simplicity of it—just you, a city full of bad guys, and a whole lot of explosions. If you’ve got a soft spot for old-school action games, this one’s worth dusting off.
