Ufouria: The Saga is one of those weird, charming NES games that never got enough love. You start off as this little blue dude named Hebe, but pretty quick you find other characters—like a samurai, a penguin, and a guy who looks like a walking mushroom—each with their own weird abilities. The samurai can slash through stuff, the penguin swims better, and honestly, the mushroom guy just kinda... floats? It’s bizarre in the best way.
The controls are simple (arrows to move, Z/X for actions), but the real fun is figuring out how to swap between characters to solve puzzles and explore. The world’s colorful and full of hidden paths—some areas only open if you come back with the right character later. And yeah, the music’s got that classic NES chip-tune vibe, catchy but kinda hypnotic after a while.
It’s not the hardest game out there, but it’s got this offbeat charm that makes it stick with you. Definitely one of those hidden gems worth dusting off.
