Uchuu Keibitai SDF is one of those NES shooters that feels like Hal Laboratory was just flexing before they made Kirby. You're piloting this beefy spaceship, blasting waves of alien ships that come at you from all sides—some dive straight in, others try to flank you. The controls are tight, but man, those later stages get brutal if you don’t grab the right power-ups early.
What’s cool is how the enemy patterns keep you guessing—just when you think you’ve got a rhythm, they throw some new formation at you. And yeah, the music’s got that classic NES energy, all bleeps and urgency. Not as polished as Gradius or anything, but it’s got its own weird charm.
If you dig old-school shooters with a bit of jank, this one’s a solid time-waster.
