About Turok : Battle Of The Bionosaurs
Turok: Battle of the Bionosaurs came out for the Game Boy in 1997, developed by Iguana Entertainment. It was part of that wave of late 90s portable games where developers were really figuring out how to translate bigger console concepts onto the small screen. You got a lot of action adventures during that period, and this was one of them.
You control Tal'Set, a time traveling warrior, and your goal is to stop an evil cyborg Tyrannosaurus rex. The game plays across interconnected levels where you move screen by screen, fighting dinosaurs and robots with a bow and a blade. You collect keys to open doors and gather pieces of a powerful Chronoscepter to progress. The pacing is deliberate, and some of the platforming can be tricky, demanding careful jumps. It feels like a methodical hunt through a dangerous, prehistoric world.
