Man, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter was wild back in the N64 days. You drop into this jungle full of raptors, weird lizard soldiers, and towering T-rexes—all trying to eat you. The first time you whip out the Chronoscepter and watch enemies just disintegrate, it’s pure magic. Yeah, the controls feel a little clunky now, but the levels are massive for an early 3D shooter, full of hidden caves and floating platforms. Just don’t get lost in the Temple Ruins level—that place is a maze.
It’s got that classic ‘90s difficulty too. No hand-holding, just you, a bow that somehow fires explosive arrows, and a whole lot of dinosaurs to blast. Still holds up if you can handle the jank.
