Man, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter on N64 was wild. You drop into this jungle full of raptors that come at you from all sides, and within minutes you're blasting them with a shotgun while jumping over lava pits. The weapons feel chunky and satisfying—especially the alien guns you unlock later—and the levels twist through caves, temples, and weird portals to other dimensions.
It’s janky by today’s standards (good luck with the foggy draw distance), but there’s something about fighting T-rexes with explosive arrows that never gets old. Just don’t expect a hand-holding experience—half the fun is getting lost in the maze-like levels with only a vague sense of where to go next.
If you can handle the old-school difficulty, it’s still one of the most atmospheric shooters from that era.
