Tsume Go Series 1 Game

Tsume Go Series 1 is one of those Game Boy games that looks simple at first—just black and white stones on a grid—but then suddenly you're staring at the screen for 10 minutes trying to figure out if that one sneaky move actually works. It's all about solving Go puzzles (called "tsume-go"), where you have to capture enemy stones in a set number of moves.
What I like is how it eases you in with easier problems, then ramps up fast. By the third set, I was scribbling possible moves on scrap paper like some kind of围棋 detective. The AI doesn’t mess around either—make a wrong move and it’ll punish you immediately. Not exactly relaxing, but weirdly satisfying when you finally crack a puzzle that’s been wrecking you for days.
Definitely not for everyone, but if you like brain-melting strategy or just want to pretend you’re a Go master on the bus, this one’s got that old-school charm.
